Iconic noughties heartthrob Colin Farrell has just resurfaced on the streets. The 42-year-old actor-famous for his brooding stare, his peppered facial hair, a one-off tryst with Britney Spears, and his overall bad boy demeanor-was spotted today in New York City. This year, the trend is two-fold: It's leaning into true, sporty styles reminiscent of your dad's hiking footwear. From statement sneakers to the sport sandal like Teva, athletic influences will be a must-have for 2020, says Erica Russo, vice president and fashion director of accessories and beauty at Bloomingdales.
What's more, other brands' interpretations of Teva sandals might actually be boosting sales of the original product. Look back through Vogue Runway's galleries of the Spring 2019 season, and you'll find a lot of sandals that imitate the look of Tevas. On Instagram, women are not only posting shoefies in their Tevas, but some have gone so far as to create their own footwear brands Golden Goose Sneakers inspired by the originals.
Turner wore a pair of white sneakers with Golden Goose Shoes hefty lug soles. Meanwhile, Jonas also went for a thick gum-sole style, his sneakers finished with creative lime-green lacing that matched the stripes on his tee.
